Y2 Learning and Discovery

October has been another busy month in Year 2!

October has been another busy month in Year 2. In Science we have been investigating rocks and their features. In Mathematics, we have learnt about 3d shapes, 2d shapes and symmetry. In Art we have continued the drawing and painting unit by focusing on the work of artists such as David Tazzyman and Jean-Michel Basquiat .

In PHSE, we worked on friendships and showing respect. Discovery time provided the time to explore shapes and to create collages. In Humanities, we have learnt more about Australia by looking at different types of maps and satellite images.
