Volume 1 Number 7
Week in, Week out
A Pre/Primary School publication

Welcome to our seventh edition of the newsletter for our Pre/Primary schools covering all the activities of the past week.

The main activities on our campuses last week was the celebration of English Day at both City & Zek campus on Thursday & Friday. Students enjoyed a variety of activities and games whilst dressed as their favourite book characters. Our classrooms were filled with books thanks to all of the kind donations from our school community for the 'Book Swap' and our teachers captured lots of the fun from the day which you can see in the pictures below.

Our City campus students have also shared with us their trip to Elgiz Museum which took place last week, where they explored some of Istanbul's modern art.

This week we will hold our EYFS Sports Day in the Botanical Gardens for both City & Zek EYFS students. Let's hope the sunshine makes an appearance to help make the day even more enjoyable for everyone!

Here's to a sunny end to the school year and lots more fun activities for our students to enjoy in the outdoors.

We hope you enjoy the read.

WEEK IN
Year 1 Elgiz Museum Visit (City Campus)

Amelia Verralls: City Campus Year 1 Teacher

Year 1 really enjoyed their visit to Elgiz museum. Elgiz museum displays modern art. They looked at different paintings, collages and sculptures. The lady who showed them round was very impressed with their curiosity and enthusiasm.
English Day

Heather Bowen: Head of English

Students and staff had a great time when we celebrated English Day at both of the campuses last week. Most of the students and staff came into school dressed up as their favourite book character and showed them off in a character parade.

The students were challenged to use their English detective skills to either recover stolen art, save a museum or “escape” the school/caves. In the afternoon, students participated in a carousel of fun English activities; these activities included, Pictionary, Taboo, 20 objects and charades.  Overall, it was a wonderful day for all.

Keep scrolling to see the celebration days in pictures across both of our campuses.
