Week in, Week out
A Pre & Primary School publication

Welcome to our second installment of the weekly newsletter, which covers lots of fun activities the students have been doing this week. Our students across both campuses have enjoyed developing their creative skills with a variety of tasks including: recipe making and writing skills, play time building, as well as exercising their skills of persuasion during speeches for Year 6 House Captain selections this year.

Thanks to the kind autumn weather, our EYFS students have enjoyed a school trip this week to Miniaturk and a morning tea in the beautiful Botanical Gardens, where parents and teachers joined our students for lots of fun and delicious snacks.

Thank you to all of our BISI staff who contributed pictures from our events for you all to see in our picture gallery below.

We hope you enjoy!

Happy reading...

Zek Campus Year 4 Trip to the Bosporus

A really successful outdoor learning experience.
Year 6 House Captains

Mrs Cosnett - Year 6 Class Teacher & Head of Creative Arts at Zek Campus

All of the children in year 6 worked extremely hard to write a persuasive speech detailing why they should be house captain. The majority of the year group then gave their speeches to the rest of the children in their houses: Cedar, Maple & Oak.

Despite some of the grand claims that were made, such as reinventing the whole menu and having the power to grant Fridays off for all the teachers and pupils, everyone was very impressed with the year 6 children; a number of teachers commented that they were the best house captain speeches to date!
Congratulations to all of year 6 and a special congratulations to our new house captains and vice captains!

Oak House Captains: Zartasha & Kenan

EYFS Morning Tea

Children from Etiler, International and National all came together for a special Early Years Morning Tea. Parents and carers came to the Botanic Garden for tea, coffee and treats. We had a great day!
Miniatürk School Trip

Mr Scott Murray - Reception Teacher & Head of Mathematics at Zek Campus

Reception Classes from International and National were learning about My CIty: Istanbul this week. We had a great time 'exploring Istanbul' and even got to meet up with our friends from Etiler. The highlight of our day was definitely the ice cream!
Key Stage One Sports Day - Friday 4th October at 10:15 hrs

Next Friday, our Year one and two students from City, Zek & National school will be competing in their annual Sports Day events and parents are invited to show some support and cheer on our students.

Students have been working very hard on their techniques in preparation for the day. Come along and give them a cheer, and if you're feeling competitive, why not take part in the parent's race for the chance to win a medal!

Don't forget that students should come dressed in their sports kit, wearing house colour t-shirts!!!

We hope to see you all there!

And that brings us to the end of another week. We do hope you've enjoyed reading about our daily events. Until next week...

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
