This week the Zek campus was busier then ever welcoming the Year 11 and Year 13 students back to school as of Wednesday, finally giving Secondary School a sense of normality. 

We share further updates of our EYFS and Year One classes across both campuses. Year Six's have been busy with the announcement of the new House Captains for 2020. The Year Four class from our City Campus have been conducting virtual cooking classes with Mr Scarff. Whilst, National school EYFS and Year One have been busy practicing performances for The Republic day National holiday celebrations. EYFS and Year One at both City and Zek Campus have been busy little bees attending their classes and getting used to the routine of in-school life.

After a grueling election campaign, during which the year 6 children worked extremely hard to produce persuasive advertising posters and entertaining videos of their speeches, the voting has now taken place.

City Campus congratulates the newly elected House and Vice Captains for 2020/21.
 
They enthusiastically embraced the campaign trail and put forward inspiring presentations.
 
We wish them well as they guide their Houses onwards and upwards!
City Campus: Year 4 virtual cooking class

Mr Scarff : Year 4 Class Teacher

"We are designing our own muffin recipes in year 4. The whole of year 4 are doing it at the moment. It is part of our Design Technology curriculum that teaches about cooking, following instructions, hygiene, making surveys, finding out what the customer wants, adapting recipes and making improvements in a calculated manner rather than guessing.
Last week we used a basic muffin recipe and successfully cooked a batch of muffins. This week we are adding an ingredient of our choice to see if we can change to flavor and still be successful.

Zek EYFS 1 - Incy Wincy Spider

This week our youngest class are learning one of our all time favorite nursery rhymes 'Incy Wincy Spider'. Not only are they making characters out of paper they are also improving their fine motor skills with incy wincy themed activities.
EYFS 2- Learning the Letter 'O'
This week our EYFS 2 class were learning the letter O, selecting images that start with O and coloring them in.
Year 1- Learning about Shapes

This week Ms Verrall's Year One class were learning about different shapes.
National School 

This week our EYFS and Year One students were practicing their performances for the "29 October Republic Day" celebration in the botanical garden. Details about the day will be featured in next weeks newsletter but for now here are some photos from behind the scenes.

Secondary- Welcoming back our

Year 11 and 13 Students


This week our Year 11 and Year 13 started face to face lessons. As both are important exam year groups there was no wasting time and all have dived right back into the school routine. Following the New Normal at BISI both Year levels started with Health & Safety talks in the Botanical Garden Amphitheater further continuing with there usual subjects. We are very happy to finally see some secondary students on campus.

Primary Year Two to Four will start blended learning

After the Ministry of Education announcement this week we are excited to announce as of Monday 12th October we will be welcoming back our Year 2, 3 and 4 students to school. Please click here to view the letter from the Primary Senior Leadership Team.
