This week in Year One City, we read the story The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. We learnt to retell the story by remembering the main events. We made props for the main characters to help us retell the story!

National School - Year 1

This week the Year 1 class read a story called 'The Whale and the Snail' and then produced masks and whale puppets to help them retell the story in their own words.
National School Year 3 and 4

Miss Filiz, Neslihan & Karen

The students in National Year 3 and 4 have been highly creative in Creative Arts lessons this week. We have been learning skills that have helped us produce an end product.

The Year 4’s drew a one point perspective Art piece after learning the steps. Our mixed media adds an imaginative flair to our work. Well done!

The Year 3’s made a Festive Stocking in DT after learning the steps. Our designs were imaginative and our sewing skills were very impressive. Well done! (See below)

Zek Year 4 - Science

Lizzie Lincoln: Year 4 Classroom Teacher

Year 4L students carried out a science investigation this week to find out which liquid causes the greatest effect upon an eggshell. This was to help us understand how tooth decay is created and the types of things that are worst for our teeth. The students found that in fact, tea and vinegar had  impact upon the eggshell.
Although online, our investigation went smoothly and created another good learning experience for all.

Secondary Friday Activity

Sunil Gusain : Friday Activities Coordinator

Regular exercise and physical activity promotes strong muscles and bones. It improves respiratory,
cardiovascular health, and overall health. Staying active can also help you maintain a healthy weight.
The most important part to staying mentally healthy and productive in this time is shown by some of the BISI athletes.
Students were asked to Play the song “Flower” by Moby.
Another exercise they did was to a song named 'Bring Sally Down'. They performed in different exercises according to the lyrics of the song.
