Teachers and children across the school were fully engaged in our first-ever online Maths Day on Friday 4th December! The theme for the day was 'How Much Mathematics Is In Your Home?'. Children were set a variety of different challenges by their teachers. The winners will be announced next week.
Well done everyone for taking part!

City Year 1 - Story Retell

Alisa Lorenz: Classroom Teacher

In Year 1, we completed a shared writing and retell activity in Literacy. We have been learning to retell the story 'Room on the Broom'. For our shared writing and retell activity, Ms. Lorenz wrote some parts of the story, some of the children wrote parts of the story and others verbally retold a part of the story.
Please click here to see our story retell!
City Year 6-Virtual Holiday

Diana Wootton: Classroom Teacher

For Maths Day this year, the Year 6s planned a virtual holiday.  Working within the constraint of a $6000 budget for a week long holiday for a family of 4, the 'Jildibori' and 'Jones' families from City Campus researched and enjoyed fun packed holidays to Rome and St Petersburg.
ZEK Year 6- Science

Marcus McCann: Classroom Teacher

We asked the children to make model hearts as part of our science unit on the circulatory system. They could use whatever materials they liked and some of the examples were anatomically amazing, with great detail. Others sent videos explaining the workings of the whole system with the function of the heart included.
Year 8- PHSE Activity about Gaming Addiction

Angela Perez: KS3 Coordinator

For the last two weeks, Year 8 have been learning about gaming addiction during our PSHE lessons. In small groups our students researched about the dangers of online gaming and they wrote some letters to an imaginary friend whose life is being affected by too much online gaming.

Please click here view some letters written by our Year 8 students.

Year 9- P.E Marathon Challenge

Sandra Scotland: P.E Department

The Year 9’s had a Marathon Challenge this week between Monday 7th – Thursday 10th December 2020. The aim was to run or walk as many kilometers as we could over 4 days.
