Results

IGCSE

Congratulations to our year 11 students sitting their IGCSE exams in June 2011, the results are outstanding with 95% of students achieving 5 A* - C grades and with many of these going even further to receive Distinction in the ICE award for 5 or more A*- A grades.

Particular congratulations to our top three students Jae Chang, Tolga Guven and Daniel Brown each receiving 8 A*/A grades in their examination results and to all of our students who have moved on to further education both here in the International Baccalaureat programme and abroad in National Education systems.

The following subjects had 100% pass rate A* - C:  English Literature, Additional Mathematics, History, Art, Drama, Economics, Turkish, French, German and Spanish.

Congratulations to the twenty students who made up the graduating class of 2011. This year's winner of the Roger Short Memorial Trophy is Gina Panaino who gained 38 points out of a possible 45, closely followed by Phyllis Guven and Metin Davutoglu who both scored 37. Of the 20 members of the class of 2011, 13 gained the full IB Diploma and 7 received IB Certificates. The average points achieved by those who passed the full diploma was 31 – which is the worldwide average points score. Many of the class of 2011 are now following higher education courses in the UK, Canada, South Africa, Holland, America and Sweden at; City University (London), University of Kent, University of Surrey, University of British Colombia, Warwick University and Manchester University. Others are taking a gap year and Colton Oschmann is joining the US Army. We wish them all well.
